RENEWAL OF PROVISORY RESIDENCY’S CERTIFICATES (“CERTIFICADOS DE RESIDENCIAS PRECARIAS”) OF FOREIGNERS WHO ARE AT CORONAVIRUS AFFECTED AREAS

Coronavirus

The Immigration Office has authorized, temporarily and exceptionally, the renewal of the provisory residency certificate (so called in Spanish “Certificado de Residencia Precaria”) to those foreigners, of any nationality, that have requested a residency at the Immigration Office, have travelled abroad and need to renew the provisory residency certificate but are unable to return to Argentina before the expiration date of such certificate because they had to cancel and/or delay their international flight due to the emergency caused by the outbreak and spread of the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) in the affected areas.
Thus, all foreign citizens that are currently in an affected area, can request the Argentine Immigration Office to renew the Provisory Residency Certificate (“Certificado de Residencia Precaria”) by sending an email to precarias.exterior@migraciones.gob.ar, attaching a picture of the current and valid passport and/or ID, and the documentation that proofs that the international flight has been cancelled or postponed.
